Rockfield Festival is Happening!
We have a smaller festival at a different venue for 2016
The Rockfield Country Music festival is an annual 3-day event held over the first weekend of June.
In 2013 and '14, the event was hampered with bad weather causing the site to flood. And in 2015, the event was cancelled altogether due to illness of the organiser.
For 2016, we are relaunching with a smaller festival at a different site:
Great House Farm, Llansoy, Usk, NP15 1DE
We are running for entertainment from Friday 3rd June night, through Saturday 4th/Sunday 5th day and night.
As well as great music, the Rockfield country music festival also provides much Wild West entertainment for all the family. A majority of the attendees are country music enthusiasts and wear western dress much of the time - especially in the evenings when there are western dress themes, such as Native American, Gamblers, Saloon Girls, Mexican. Daily events include the fast draw contests, rodeo bull machine, line dancing lessons, and wild west re-enactment shows, prizes for best dressed and a nightly raffle. Many trade stands are on site selling authentic western items such as cowboy hats and boots, leather wear, crinoline dresses, and accessories. Day tickets and weekend tickets are available. There is plenty of free parking and free camping for all ticket holders.
Facilities at the festival include mobile shower unit, plenty of porta-loos segregated for male/female/disabled, food and drink wagons, water bowsers, and bar.
The festival is run by volunteers with any profits goin to the Victoria Eye Unit at Hereford County Hospital. We would like to thank all our sponsors for their support:
The organisers reserve the right to make alterations to the programme if needs arise.
